hackney is an HTTP client for Erlang.

Version 2.0.0-beta.1 introduces a process per connection architecture where each connection runs in its own gen\_statem process.

Main changes:

- HTTP/3 support via QUIC (opt in)
- HTTP/2 support with automatic ALPN negotiation
- Multiplexing for HTTP/2 and HTTP/3
- Redesigned connection pool with per host limits
- Load regulation with backpressure
- Requires Erlang/OTP 27+
