I am a Research Assistant at Adam Mickiewicz University in the Laboratory of Aerobiology, and an aspiring backend developer with a diverse technical background. My degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering provided a foundation in programming and problem-solving, and with environmental protection masters which I’ve since applied to my research work in data analysis.
For almost four years in the aerobiology lab, I’ve been responsible for the full research lifecycle:
-
Data Collection & Analysis: I collect biological samples, conduct laboratory experiments, and analyze the resulting data with Excel and R
-
Data Visualization: I use R and Python to create visualizations and presentations
In parallel with my research, I’ve been independently learning backend development, with a focus on Elixir and the Phoenix framework, including LiveView for building real-time applications. I’m also gaining experience with PostgreSQL database operations and developing APIs with Phoenix.
My research background has taught me to approach complex problems methodically, debug issues systematically, and work effectively with technical documentation. I am eager learning new technologies and am genuinely interested in building reliable, well-designed systems.
