Join us in Berlin for Code BEAM Europe 2025 – The Erlang and Elixir Conference!
We’re back! Code BEAM Europe returns to Berlin & Online, 5–6 November 2025, with training on 4 November. This is your chance to be part of one of the most vibrant and forward-thinking communities in the software world.
Continuing the legacy of the Erlang Factory and BEAM conferences, Code BEAM Europe brings together developers, engineers, and leaders passionate about Erlang, Elixir, Gleam, and the entire BEAM ecosystem.
We’re looking for inspiring speakers to share ideas, experiences, and solutions. Whether you’re building AI-powered applications, scaling Elixir systems, or launching Gleam in production—we want to hear from you!
This year, we’re accepting proposals from speakers ready to present in person. We strongly encourage submissions from individuals from underrepresented groups in tech and are committed to supporting a diverse range of voices.
Themes for 2025 include:
AI & Machine Learning – Integrating intelligent systems into BEAM environments
Growth & Adoption – Driving uptake and growing successful BEAM teams
Real-World Usage – Lessons from production, DevOps, and long-term maintenance
Scalability & Sustainability – Building resilient, green, scalable architectures
Gleam in Production – Showcasing Gleam’s real-world impact and best practices
CFT closes: 29 June 2025

Tired of ORMs that hide SQL or wrestling database rows into your language’s types?
Giacomo Cavalieri (core Gleam contributor) is showing how Squirrel generates type-safe code directly from raw SQL at Code BEAM Europe. No abstraction layers, no type-wrangling, no schema drift - just SQL that works with full type-safety and zero runtime overhead.
Main takeaway: Generate type-safe database access from your actual SQL queries. Production-ready Gleam without compromising on performance or DX.
