Beer For Knowledge - seeking a mentor

Hi friends,

Looking for an Erlang veteran-- a real nerd like me who is willing to let me pick their brain in exchange for beer.

I want to learn as much as I can about REST-based Erlang servers. Meaning how to:

  1. Secure them (API keys, bearer tokens, rate limits)
  2. Duplicate them (Across different regions for improved availability [& how they can communicate with one another])
  3. Communicate with them (best practices for admin updates [ssh into each/push updates, etc])

I know I could (and should) read an Erlang for Dummies book… I will… but I want to do this first because, as we all know, books don’t always translate to practice.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Hey!

I’ve spent quite a bit of time building REST-based servers in Erlang - from securing APIs (keys, bearer tokens, rate limiting) to multi-region deployments and update strategies.

Happy to hop on a quick 15-minute call or point you to the right resources.

And no worries - I’m happy to nerd out even without the beer :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

If you’ve got a real project in the works and need deeper help, feel free to DM me - I also do consulting.
