May 27th 1990 - The XIII International Switching Symposium from May 27th to June 1st, 1990, in Stockholm. Joe and Robert presented the paper “Erlang - An Experimental Telephony Programming Language” at this conference, marking the first official mention of Erlang outside Ericsson.
