Understanding BEAM bytecode - request for resources!

For my undergraduate project I decided to write an alternate VM for BEAM bytecode (or a subset of it). I have no prior experience with BEAM/any BEAM languages.

I am now looking for any good resources that would help with my project. I’ve already found the Beam Book, and was wondering if there was anything similar.

Similarly, is there a discord/irc chat I could join, or is this the main place for discussion?

I have around 20-23 weeks (with this being a major priority during that time), so time is short. That’s why I’m asking here instead of more organically finding this information. So any help is greatly appreciated! If this is the wrong place to ask, apologies.

Here is a lot of info about BEAM code. Besides Beam Book, I found this artice useful in the past, but its outdated I think (last updated in1997?).
