What do you think the (more distant) future holds for Erlang and the BEAM world?

Inspired by this Unreal Engine 5 demo:

Which has got to the stage now where simulations are more and more life-like (and where it feels like it’s just a matter of time when they will be indistinguishable from real-life) what do you think the future holds for Erlang and the BEAM in a similar quantum leap forward (whatever that quantum leap means to you)?

Assumptions:

  • Erlang grows at a fantastic pace and in all areas that matter.
  • Erlang and the Erlang VM continues to be developed for major platforms (whether that’s traditional computing, quantum computing, or whatever comes next).
